The Shekhar Kapur Masterclass on Stories & Storytelling

April 3, 2027 to April 7, 2027

The dates & venue are tentative. We will confirm both by end of November. You can still submit the form to register your interest

Shekhar Kapur is grounded for someone so accomplished – he’s won the BAFTA, Oscar nominations and was awarded the Padma Bhushan.

His acclaim is worldwide, yet his course is not about him – he completely focuses on the stories of the participants. And he knows of stories: from Masoom to Mr. India to Bandit Queen to Elizabeth, he’s gone past stereotypes and succeeded across genres.

He doesn’t teach in his Masterclass. Twelve handpicked people from varied backgrounds spend 3 days together. They share their stories: these could be book ideas, business stories or deeply personal narratives or film plots. Shekhar listens, probes, suggests, provokes, and pushes you to look at everything very differently.

He doesn’t change your story for you, he tells you where to go and what to look at to make it better. The twelve participants in his course last year were leaders in their own fields. They all left inspired and invigorated.

If your story matters to you and you want to make it better, this Master Storyteller can help.

Program Outline

The course starts off about stories, but eventually lands up being about ourselves. Deeply introspective, the conversations are intimate and personal, and we form a sort of trust group where we discuss the story we want to work on and build.

The program below is indicative and flexible. We may also ask all participants to write a one-pager before we start and turn it in. The actual flow of events is likely to morph and evolve, and may differ from the schedule below.
